Our aim is to play a mix of some of the best world music, Kiwi classics, and a selection of radio programming from around the world.

We are currently broadcasting on 88.5 MHz, in Tawa, Wellington, New Zealand, using an NRG PLL Pro III transmitter and Airomate stereo & RDS encoding software.

Our antenna is a tuneable 1/4-wave groundplane from the FM DX Antenna Company

WorldFM has been on air since March 2005, initially using a variety of frequencies in the 88 MHz LPFM band (88.1, 88.2, 88.4 MHz) before settling on 88.5 MHz.

During holiday times we also sometimes operate a relay transmitter at Marahau, near the entrance to the Abel Tasman National Park, Nelson. This also operates on 88.5 MHz.

Our programming is managed using StationPlaylist's Studio & Creator software packages.
